Would you have had the strength to do what Ruby Bridges did? Would I? Would anyone? This is what seperates leaders from people. Ruby at a very young age was a leader to me in so many ways. By standing up for her rights of education, believing in God at all times, never giving up, and most of all showing me that I can do whaterver I want to. I cant begin to imagine if times were still exactly the same as they were back then. I dont know if I would be ready to lay down my life for the thought that others may have equal rights. But Ruby did. She made it easier for African American students to intergrate into all white schools. It all starts with education. Ruby was so humble in the actions she took to make a big difference in society, and for that I humbly thank her for doing so. I'm thankful that we have, and have had people in this world who will dedicate their lives and themselves physically, and mentally for a greater purpose. rubybridges
