Pressures
Even though Ruby had to endure all of the hardships and pressures of threats, being followed by guards for protection, protests against her, being the only one in her class, father loosing his job, having no one to eat with, and wondering why no one liked her, she trusted in God, and let him fight her battles for her. Everytime she was verbly assaulted she would just pray for those people and continue walking. It took a lot of faith, and will power to keep forward.
